Hexagons

binary, 5 plots

Maybe the nicest of all tilings is the regular tiling with hexagons. A seamless fit and exciting at the same time. I had to make a decision about how to put them in order. The solution is to stagger them. This was the first plot where I put the "bytes"(hexagons) in random order. My good friend and artist Marten Hazelaar suggested that. It creates a field of hexagons where no hexagon is the same. It is pleasing to the eye. Also check the ones with three extra lines that make them look like cubes.
